Portfolio

Welcome to the Instructional Design Portfolio, a collection of projects that reflect our passion for creating meaningful and human-centered learning experiences. Each project demonstrates how we combine psychology, instructional design frameworks, and technology to design effective, engaging, and results-driven learning solutions.

Note: The courses you'll find below are interactive; However, they are currently available only in English. We're working to develop more inclusive versions. Thank you very much for your understanding!

Rise 360 course

To address a learning gap identified among Social Work students, we designed an online course focused on understanding the foundations for assessing suicidal ideation and intent in clients.

The project was developed in collaboration with Dr. Chris Cotten, Professor of Social Work and Subject Matter Expert (SME), who contributed his clinical and academic expertise to ensure the course content was accurate, evidence-based, and applicable to real-world practice.

To structure the course, we applied the ADDIE instructional design model, a widely used methodology in education and training. ADDIE consists of five key stages:

  1. Analysis: Identify knowledge gaps and real learning needs to ensure the course addresses relevant challenges.

  2. Design: Define clear learning objectives and organize the logical flow of content for an effective learning experience.

  3. Development: Create engaging, interactive materials and visual resources that support comprehension and retention.

  4. Implementation: Deliver the course within an LMS, ensuring smooth navigation, accessibility, and learner support.

  5. Evaluation: Measure learning outcomes through practical exercises, assessments, and feedback to refine and improve the course.

We also applied Bloom’s Taxonomy, a framework that organizes levels of thinking from basic to complex. This approach allowed the course to progress naturally—from understanding and recalling key concepts, to analyzing real cases, and finally, evaluating and making informed decisions in critical scenarios.

The result was an interactive, reflective, and learner-centered experience that equips future social workers with practical tools to recognize and manage suicide risk with empathy, sensitivity, and professional competence.

Inspire to Lead: The True Engine of Change (Spanish version)

In a world where organizations evolve, generations shift, and expectations transform, true leadership is not measured by authority—but by the ability to inspire trust, motivate others, and create well-being.

Every leader, consciously or not, signs a psychological contract with their team: an unspoken agreement of respect, support, and shared growth.

To lead today means more than managing—it means to understand, connect, and guide.

Storyline 360 course

To strengthen communication skills across diverse work environments, we designed the e-learning course “Fundamentals of Effective Workplace Communication.”

This course addresses a common organizational need: improving how people express themselves, listen, and collaborate. Its goal was to help participants understand the core principles of communication and apply them immediately to enhance teamwork and workplace culture.

The course structure was based on Robert Gagné’s Nine Events of Instruction, a methodology that organizes the learning process into stages to ensure that instruction is clear, progressive, and meaningful.
These events include:

  1. Gaining the learner’s attention from the very beginning.

  2. Recalling prior knowledge as a foundation for new learning.

  3. Presenting new information in a simple and relevant way.

  4. Guiding learning through examples and demonstrations.

  5. Encouraging practice to apply new skills.

  6. Providing immediate feedback to reinforce understanding.

  7. Assessing performance through short activities.

  8. Enhancing retention with summaries or reflective exercises.

  9. Motivating transfer of learning to real workplace situations.

These steps were implemented through interactive scenarios, reflection exercises, and branching activities that simulated real workplace situations. Participants practiced active listening, empathy, and clear communication, receiving personalized guidance and feedback throughout the process.

The result was a practical, engaging, and behavior-centered learning experience that encouraged employees to reflect on their communication habits and adopt more effective strategies to build positive, collaborative, and productive work relationships.
